If you are from the PNW or a fan of Snoop Dogg, you are no doubt familiar with the word “drizzle”. It describes the weather the majority of Fall, Winter and Spring here. It’s not quite rain nor misting but somewhere in between. The toughest challenge an outdoor tennis coach faces in Western Washington is reading the weather and making a real time decision to continue the match or not. The weather changes quickly. 10 minutes of drizzle, 40 minutes light sprinkle, 20 minutes returning to just cloudy, 5 minutes back to sprinkling. Today we were fortunate to be on the better side of just cloudy with a bit of drizzle. Thank you to Coach Nick and the Mt. View Boys Tennis team for being great lads and committing to our match even while the forecast did not look promising.
